I have been working with magicians’ thread since 1998 and have tried many different thread reels…well, that is most were tried in the first year. I have and always will come back to your specific invention – The ITR made by your company.

As a REAL ITR user, I can attest to the vast difference between the James George products and the knockoffs.

One of the most ironic piece of advertising I ever got was a piece of spam from a "Christian Conjuring Supply House," that advertised that they specialized in "Christian and Gospel" magic. Every item in their ad was a knockoff.

I sent them an e-mail that chastised them for sending out spam, then chewed them out for calling themselves "Christians" and selling knockoffs. I haven't heard from them in a while. Wonder why?

The new 2005 Kevlar Pen does indeed feed from near top. It's basically an update and replacement for the 2002 Pro Pen, which was $140.

This is a quote from James George concerning the 2004 Thread Boss:

"Great for close-up, easily clips under the collar, if lighting is a big concern I would get this over the pen reel, the thread breaks easier, but it is more invisible."

I really like the 2005 Kevlar Pen Reel, but I am thinking of adding the thread boss, just for the really intimate performances.

Decisions, decisions.......I think either will work......but having both is even better.

I wrote a review of the ITR 2000 MICRO because that particular ITR is my favorite but I wanted to give you some purchasing information about the ITR 2000 SUPER MICRO. The ITR 2000 SUPER MICRO is also great purchase and will serve you well. The choice of an ITR is a matter of personal preference. Both of these ITR’s are quality products, manufactured by Sorcery Manufacturing, the inventors of the original Invisible Thread Reel. They now come with the strong and invisible Kevlar thread.

The ITR 2000 SUPER MICRO does have one advantage over the ITR 2000 MICRO. That advantage is its size. The ITR 2000 SUPER MICRO is 2” shorter than the ITR 2000 MICRO so that means that you can hide it in many more places than the ITR 2000 MICRO. Yes, there are lots of things you can do with one, but the one I love best, is the simplest one. Imagine taking a piece of paper and floating it, almost anywhere, and then, walking back a few steps, leaving the thing suspended. And when your done, everything is clean.

HUMMING BIRD GUYS- GET IT! by Anonymous from london on 04/29/2005 10:06:43     I have discovered a better humming bird technique (more impromptu and inspectable!!!)

Put the capsule holding the line behind your you know what (after freeing the inside from the elastic bits so the card doesn't shoot back)

I work with blue tack/ wax on the end of the line. You can attach it to the card from your thumb after inspection. When you’re done, remove it and let them inspect again!

You can also make hoops out of it by attaching some more tack to the thread and the capsule.

Every since I first experimented with it, IT has been the bane of my existence. Stripping it was a nightmare and getting enough to perform a trick on stage was equally depressing. Then a friend suggested the ITR thread reel. I thought £25 seemed a bit much at the time but i had disposable cash so i thought I'd give it a try. And I'm so glad I did. It's awesome! When I first bought it, I finished the thread in two hours. IF you love to work with thread, I recommend it. (Get a refill and wax too, if your new to this!)

The ITR 2000 MICRO is the ITR (Invisible Thread Reel) to purchase. Yes, the ITR 2000 MICRO is 2” longer than the ITR 2000 SUPER MICRO but its length gives you a longer usable working distance from the reel. This is better. Also the ITR 2000 MICRO reels the thread in slower than the ITR 2000 SUPER MICRO. This is better because you want your ITR to reel the thread in slower so it doesn’t get caught on anything when retracting. Also the larger ITR 2000 MICRO has more thread than the smaller ITR 2000 SUPER MICRO and because the ITR 2000 MICRO is larger, it will be easier to repair and replace the thread.

Purchase the ITR 2000 MICRO because it is the correct size to use. Some people may think that the 2000 SUPER MICRO ITR would be better because it is smaller but for the above reasons you are actually better off buying the ITR 2000 MICRO because its larger size makes it easier to use and repair.

I rubbed the paper money and paper and acted like I was levitating them by static electricity. This satisfied people’s curiosity and they left me alone so I could levitate things. People were amazed at the levitation and thought that I had ESP or Psychic Telekinetic powers.

The reason I put I don't like it is because I dont like it - I LOVE IT!!! As soon as you open the package you will be performing it. You can leave it floating in the middle of the room and walk away from it leaving it floating. You can even pass a solid metal ring over it to show there are no strings. You will love this!

Your Sorcerer's Scepter arrived today and it's everything you say it is!
The first time I performed it (within a half hour of getting it) it had
just the audience reaction you describe in your ads. Nice principle,
nice workmanship.

(It seems to me the weak link is the paper bag. I haven't tried it yet,
but it seems a cloth, plastic or leather bag with a drawstring would be
perfect. The drawstring would keep the bag small enough around the
scepter without the need for a rubberband. When ready to produce the
scepter, loosen the drawstring, reach in the bag and voila: Magic!
Again, I haven't tried that, but I intend to.)

Also, please continue to develop different types of Kevlar reels. You
keep topping yourself!

Jester's 8-Foot Pole

This a rally baffling effect!!! You can pull this 8 ft.(yes its almost 8 ft. tall) pole from anywhere. Even your pocket! I think its great for clown magic and its good if you do kids magic. Its a well made prop and if performed right, its very effective.

Every once in awhile, actually quite rarely, an effect comes along that is not only ingenious and simple in its nature, even though we know how it works, it remains entertaining even to the “I have seen it all magician.”

Sorcery Manufacturer’s Scepter is just such an effect. When it was described to me over the phone, like any other magi, I tried to figure out how it worked prior to receiving it. When it came and without reading the instructions, I was still not sure.

Twenty-three years of education was not enough to immediately crack the case. As I read the instructions I began to realize, “of course you idiot, how else could it have worked” and began to laugh.

I began playing with it immediately. No frustration in trying to figure it out or working on slights. IT IS ENTRELY SELF WORKING. Let’s face it, the very concept of taking a seven foot long Scepter out of a tiny paper bag RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SPECTATOR’S NOSE, is very, very powerful. (Also note that the spectator can hold the bag as you pull the Scepter out! Unlike other Appearing pole type items.)

If that is not enough, shrinking the Scepter to about four feet right in front of the spectator’s eyes is a real shocker.

The final clincher is that immediately after doing the “shrinking” with no switches, slights, or funny stuff, you can hand the Scepter to the spectator. Try that with an appearing or vanishing cane!

To top this all off, members of the magic community know how much you can pay for a good appearing or vanishing cane. Can you hand one of those to a spectator?

Finally, the visual effect is so spectacular that I just like to play with it, It is the type of effect that just will not lose its impact EVEN FOR THE MAGI HIMSELF.

However, there is one thing that perplexes me, that is the price. I feel a bit guilty that it was a bit of a steal. Sure, the Scepter is not made out of silver or even metal for that matter. However, the ingenuity, design, and power of the effect suggest that it is worth far more than what is being charged.

Honestly, I hope James raises the price to astronomical levels, I don’t want the Scepter to become a house hold item. A budding Magi could make a name for himself with this one. People just don’t pull 7 foot objects out of tiny paper bags! So, do me a favor. DON’T BUY A SCEPTER. LET ME BE THE ONLY GUY IN THE UNITED STATES THAT HAS ONE!
